TASTE BALI CULINERY



The gods’ island (Bali nickname) is not presented exotic and beautiful panorama. It also presents culinary inviting appetite. Its cost is variation. Here is Bali culinary must attempted when you visit there. 




LAWAR
It can not be separated from Bali Hindu society. Because it beside be side dish, Lawar is also a special menu served to do traditional ceremony or religiousness or wedding. It is bacon as base ingredient or chicken and beef. Beside that, it has vegetable chopped and added coconut grater. You can cost it Rp15.000-Rp20.000/portion. It does not difficult to find, it sold extensively in restaurant. 





BETUTU CHICKEN
Talking about Bali meals is not complete if we not regard Betutu Chicken. It processed Bali special seasoning. Consisting of onions, garlics, chili, turmeric, ginger, black pepper and coconut oil mix and place to the chicken, after that chicken wrapped by banana leaf in long time before cook it in fireplace traditional. It can be found in restaurant or in hotel menu. It costs Rp28.000/portion. 





JINGGO RICE
Java and Betawi have Cat Rice. Bali has Jinggo Rice as favorite menu. As small as like Cat Rice, Jinggo Rice enough detain hungry. It sold with cost Rp3.000-Rp7.000 Jinggo Rice consist of white rice added side dish like egg, chicken or beef, and hot sauce. Jinggo Rice seller also added side dish like quail egg, chicken craws etc.ThisJinggo Rice can be found in Denpasar or in around Kuta and Seminyak. 







JAJA BEGINA
It is one of Bali snacks. It has been from earlier up to now. JajaBegina unknown in Bali and it is very easy found in food stalls or in traditional market in Bali. JajaBegina made of white sticky rice treated before. It’s tasteless, sweet, and crispy, it benefited as media ritual offerings to spirits or Banten. 





PIDANG VINEGAR/SUGAR BOUILLON RUJAK (FRUIT SALAD)
It has been famous in entire Bali. It gottasavor as a culinary in Bali. Rujak consist of cut up fruit such as bengkuang, cooked-medium mango, pineapple, guava, and cucumber. It sprayed with enough sauce. The sauce made of Pidang fish brew water mixed with chili and fish paste debris. It is fresh, spicy than all rujak. If you do not like spicy, you just order red sugar sauce. 






CHICHKEN KEDEWATAN RICE
Such as mixing rice and lawar, it is culinary sold entirely in Bali. It consists of mixing rice, chicken and egg, lawar, satai and matahspicy sauce. All seasons are not refined or pounded. But it sliced softly and inserted into chicken chest. For you who prefer to spicy, it would be very savor with matah spicy sauce. It is Rp17.000/portion. 





TENGGIRI FISH TWIST SATAI SUKAWATI MARKET
It is also Bali special culinary may not skipped. There are many various twist satai such as chicken, beef, tuna fish and pig. A very special from twist satai uses coconut palm leaf, not palm leaf ribs in generally. You can find delicious twist satai when you visit Sukawati market in Gianyar. This satai is very extraordinary because completed by turmeric sauce and tipat (Ketupat) or tela rice (rice with boil ketela sliced small). 






RUJAK BULUNG
Bulung in Bali means seaweed. RujakBulung means seaweed. There are two kind of RujakBulung. White RujakBulung and Green RujakBulung. White rujakbulung shape like thin filament. Seaweed usually consumed by Bali society is Spenosum and Asprilia, where known as white seaweed and green seaweed. Bali society eager consumes it directly or served with spicy rujak.
